In explaining about the difference between the Old Aeon, that of Osiris (which is also called (Pisces) and the New, that of Horus (same as Aquarius)- according to The Precession Of The Equinoxes, as the phenomenon is called- Aleister Crowley explained that a chief difference revolves around sex and the topic of sex. He clarified, the Old Aeon mode, in Expression and application of the principle, consists largely of a big Hush Hush; tucked away deep in a closet, while most of what goes on in outer lives in society is actually energized, in a sense, by that fundamental issue, Sex! Elaborate methods of social graces, social flourishes, embellishments and customs evolved- children especially, he explained, must never know anything about sex; the myth of the great Stork who delivers the babies was created, to answer childrens' questions... dress modes for women were usually very contrived and elaborate. This was of course for those who wanted acceptance in the society considered respectable. (much of this is my own discourse and not Crowley's).
This is apparent,, in music entertainment, is in the famous show tune, "Hey, Look Me Over!" which Bing Crosby and others performed- it is actually purely a mating, or "need sex" song, carefully and artfully trapped in accordance with the modes I've described... Very different indeed from "Hit Me With Your Best Shot; Fire Away...!", the recent pop song...
