The New "Sator Square".

Hello everyone! I had recently been introduced to the sator square. It seemed an amazing piece of witt, and just reading it was making my brain go nutso. For those who dont know im dyslexic and so I connect to this pattern on many levels, and picked it up almost immediately. Here is the original.



The pattern seems simple but gets much more complicated when you get to writing one down. Basicly you have one 5-letter word thats the same forword as it is backwords, and then 2 5-letter words that have different meanings if spelled backwords. Meanwhile during all of this the letters from the previous words have to be used. As you can see tenet is spelled twice in the cross section, making you use those letters in the words to follow.

When going into this I knew it would be difficult to match meanings and words the way I need to. However I was more then confident I'd be able to figure it out. I also didnt want to re-do the original so I've used modern words in place.



Harem (Turkish, from Arabic: حرم‎ ḥaram "forbidden place; sacrosanct, sanctum", related to حريم ḥarīm, "a sacred inviolable place; female members of the family" and حرام ḥarām, "forbidden; sacred") refers to the sphere of women in what is usually a polygynous household and their enclosed quarters which are forbidden to men. Rotor (electric) - the non-stationary part of an alternator or electric motor, operating with a stationary element called the stator.

Enota - There is many names, a police force, and geological landmarks with this name. The original Sator square also contained 1 unknown/name and I wanted to repeat that step as well.

On a personal note:
I know people have for a long time been trying to deciphor some sort of code out of the original Sator. I think it had a deeper meaning like we all suspect, but I dont think its as intense as its being made out to be. Granted the ancients were no dummies, but the kind of mind teasers like this were a new perspective MANY of them had never seen or considered before. Even during WW1 the Cherokee language was used in place of code because the enemies had never heard it before and couldnt crack it.

The complexity is intense, and comes complete to almost anyones understanding. Alot of thoughts to support imagination back then were more then frowned upon, and usualy construed as a possesion of a positive or negative energy (recieved a gift from God, or possessed by a demon). One might have worked in your favor, but they did nasty things to get rid of demons back then.

Im not suggesting this has anything to do with angels or demons. I do think it had alot to do with how people could see things from more then one angle, giving them different perspectives of the same thought. A very powerful tool back then. A simple thought could consume an entire nation during these times, anything to help one against that would be encouraged.

I think a very witty and bored roman soldier, started with something and kept going with it. I consider this the earliest known brain teaser and more then likely nothing more, which is a great title to own regardless. Because of the time it was put together I could give the original a making time of 2-5 days for the sequence, and 1 day or less for inscribing in stone. I compiled my version and had it published within 24 hours.

There is much importance on how it was carved into stone, and why would someone go through all this work if it had no intense or hidden meaning. Remember carving into stone was common practice, and being a son of a stone carver I have dabbled in it myself. With just about any piece of metal with a sharp end you could carve the Sator square in no time at all. An experienced stone carver with a blueprint in hand could probably do twice the work needed for the square within 24 hours. Considering this was probably not an experienced stone carver and possibly had other duties, I gave a 24 hour grace period.

In conclusion I think it's worth putting out for others to see. I put forthe the effort and time to make it publicly visible by hand (using paint shop). I followed the original pattern as exactly as I could, and I tell you now " I would go carve this on a wall if I had no other means to have it public ". Simply because I think its fun to look at, and would want others to enjoy that as well.
